Michael T. Fay Named Chief Operating Officer of Flex Academies

Flex Academies, a national leader in before and afterschool care and enrichment programming, announced that Michael T. Fay will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer for the company.
In this role, Fay will lead operations for the entire field-based staff in seven states and more than 80 schools.
“I’ve known Michael for many years, and he knows the team at Flex Academies. He is a talented business leader who has solid operational experience,” said Flex Academies CEO and Founder Joshua Chernikoff.
Prior to joining Flex Academies, Fay held multi-state leadership roles at several major companies in education and retail. “He understands the challenges and opportunities in operations, especially in a business that operates over several states. He is exactly what Flex Academies needs to help meet our expanding demand and growth,” said Chernikoff.
Fay says his experience in operations management and growth strategy has prepared him for this new role. He has developed expertise in business growth, through launches and rapid growth expansions. “I’m happy to be here and ready to lead the company to the next level,” said Fay. “Flex Academies is the right place at the right time for me.”

Fay holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Gwynedd Mercy College in Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Post University in Connecticut. Fay is also the owner of several Subway Restaurants in Pennsylvania.
He will assume the post of Chief Operating Officer immediately.
