Linda Geen

Where were you born?
Washington, DC

How long have you been an Onsite Coordinator?
About one month!

Tell us about your role as the Onsite Coordinator.
We have nearly 400 children participate per week in our program. My two colleagues and I make sure that everything runs smoothly, and that everyone is where they are supposed to be. It has been fun getting to know the children.

What made you want to be an Onsite Coordinator?
My own kids went to Lafayette Elementary School, and I was very involved in the school. I also worked at the school several years ago. I love that students can stay at school and participate in such a wide range of after school activities.

Tell us one moment as an Onsite Coordinator where you saw after school enrichment at its best?
On Thursdays, when I check in on the Cooking class. It’s great to see young kids learn kitchen confidence, safe knife skills, and teamwork.

How do you perform your responsibilities as an Onsite Coordinator?
I love my job, and it shows! I deal with problems with patience and a smile. And, I show my colleagues, the school staff, the students, and their parents/caregivers respect.
